Synthesis of nanoadsorbent entailed mesoporous organosilica for decontamination of methylene blue and methyl orange from water

Water, being a universal solvent, is contaminated by highly toxic pollutants, which alarming for life on this planet. However, eco-friendly human efforts are constantly trying to overcome problem. In continuation of these efforts, the present study reported synthesis template-supported nanoadsorbents consisting mesoporous organosilica (MPOS) through poly-condensation organic (3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane) and inorganic (sodium silicate) silicon precursors. The nanoadsorbent with suitable textural characteristics, heat-resistant competency porous nature provided good platform achieving an excellent performance remove methylene blue (MB) methyl orange (MO) from water. Due easy handling efficient adsorption capacity, MPOS shows 93.1% 66.7% adsorptions MB MO, respectively. intra-particle diffusion kinetic model synthesised materials explained high surface interactions adsorbate active sites adsorbent, also support possible chemisorption. exhibited capacities 57.58 mg/g 56.62 MO using multilayered sorption mechanism. Reusability checked up file cycles results indicate minute decline in proficiency regenerated MPOS. An synthetic approach, exclusion better regain make competent water decontamination.
